Hello and welcome!
I don’t really like talking about myself but if maybe we’re going to work together I think it’s important for you to know a little bit about me and why I became a photographer.
I think the creation of visual memories is probably what has drawn me to photography from the beginning. Knowing that I can go back or enable other people to relive special times and moments in their life through my photography, is priceless to me. For many years most of my photography was done when I travelled, always with a focus on landscapes, nature and architecture. Travelling is one of my favorite things to do in life. I love getting to know new places, exploring foreign landscapes and seeing how people in other corners of the world live. Photographing people however–during my travels and at home- is something I shied away from for a long time.
In April 2013 I photographed my first wedding. It was for two good friends of mine and something happened to me that day. Although I was so nervous I couldn’t eat all day I realized I felt like a fish in water. I somehow sensed that maybe I had found my calling that day. I’m passionate about photography but I also treasure the celebration of two people making a commitment and declaring their love for each other. I was thinking about my own wedding only two years before and how I loved looking after the little details and preparations and the thrill and the excitement of marrying the man I love.
My goal is to be the narrator of your wedding day. Not so much in words - although I also enjoy blogging about a couple’s big day – but in images that tell about the romance, the emotions, the joy and the laughter on your wedding day. The most beautiful moments are so fleeting and ephemeral. I hope to be the one who doesn’t let them go unnoticed and captures them so you can enjoy them – hopefully – for an entire lifetime.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little. To see some images of the wonderful couples I’ve so far had the pleasure and honour of photographing please come see my portfolio or visit me on Facebook.
