November 3rd, 2013 - After our engagement photo shoot two weeks ago I and everybody else from my wedding photography course at Sheridan were in for the “biggy” today: A six hour wedding photo shoot! That being said I know the veteran wedding photographers out there would without a doubt roll their eyes as a real wedding often requires you to be on your feet a lot longer than that. So this was going to be good training, right? I was excited and also nervous again but according to my course
instructor, who, by the way, is one of those veteran wedding photographers, this will never really go away. I was glad she told us that as I find it comforting to know that I’m not the only one who’s got butterflies in her stomach before a shoot.
Just like with the engagement shoot everyone in the course was required to find a couple to photograph today. Everything had been in place when only a few days before my shooting partner lost her newlyweds. Oh dear…what now? After many frantic calls for help in the form of emails and phone calls to everyone we know my friend’s daughter Jasmin volunteered to be our bride during our morning shoot at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington. Jasmin is not married but I have a wedding dress I thought would never see the light of day again. The night
before the shoot Jasmin tried it on. It was meant to be. Lovely girl in lovely
dress. Here she is in all her glory…
